Susan Harris is the Executive Director of the Joint Educational Project at the University of Southern California. Her interdisciplinary training in graduate school as a sociologist and marriage and family therapist focused on the politics of service in AmeriCorps as well as the experiences of relative caregivers in the Los Angeles County child welfare system. Dr. Harris has worked in the SLCE field since 1994 after starting her career in the non-profit sector. She serves on the Board of Directors for IARSLCE and co-chairs the Scholarship and Publications Committee. Susan currently serves as the Co-Editor for the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement.
