Shannon O. Brooks has served as the founding director of the University of Georgia Office of Service-Learning since 2005. In this role, she is responsible for providing overall leadership for a diverse portfolio of faculty development, student programs, community partnerships, and institutional assessment and research activities designed to enhance and expand UGA’s nationally recognized service-learning and community engagement programs. She holds the faculty rank of Senior Academic Professional and an adjunct appointment in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, and currently also serves as the editor of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
