Adjunct Assistant Professor of Spanish

P. Víctor Zambrano is adjunct assistant professor of Spanish at the University of San Diego. He has also instructed Spanish at UC San Diego’s Graduate School of Global Policy and Strategy. He holds advanced degrees in education and public health. He worked in San Diego State University’s Institute for Regional Studies of the Californias and Graduate School of Public Health in collaboration with US and Mexican agencies on environmental health issues. He taught curriculum design and research methods and coordinated the Master of Education program at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Tijuana. Before re-locating to the US, he was a researcher and administrator in Mexico’s Secretaría de Educación Pública, designing and evaluating national educational programs for marginalized communities. Attention to the underserved is a constant in his research and instruction. His Spanish courses include a community service component. He has advised and accompanied USD Global Brigade groups to Central America and Ghana.
