Thomas A. Dahan, PhD, is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Rutgers School of Nursing Camden where he serves as the school's biostatistician and supports research and evidence-based practice of the faculty and advanced practice nursing students of the school. In addition, he directs the Rutgers Camden Public Health AmeriCorps program, a service-learning program that aims to engage roughly 150 part-time AmeriCorps members in high impact community health focused service. He is PI on a extramurally funded community engagement project that aims to reduce obesity through an innovative community coaching model. He teaches courses in the Rutgers Camden PhD in Prevention Science program focused on Designs for Causal Analysis. He was recipient of the 2019 IARSLCE Dissertation Award and was treasurer of the AERA SIG041 Experiential Education and Community Engagement from 2019 through 2023.
