Bridgette W. Gunnels, PHD, is currently serving as Director of Community Engaged Learning & Internships at Oxford College of Emory University. As an active faculty member in Spanish and Latin American Studies, Gunnels has developed and directed programs and classes engaging with local and global partners since 2011. Recent collaborations include credit-bearing student academic travel to Cuba in collaboration with Tulane University as well as multiple pathways-focused internships and community engaged classes with external partners in Georgia. Key areas of interest include immigration studies, cultures and language across the curriculum, and expanding community partnerships to include multiple points of contact within myriad areas of the university.
