Dr. Bret L. Keeling earned his Ph.D. at the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Boston in 2006 to teach at Northeastern University, where he's a Teaching Professor in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. His areas of study include Composition Studies, Pedagogy, and Service-Learning. He's presented papers focusing on the integration of Service-Learning into required First-Year Writing courses at CCCC, NCTE, and MLA.
