Paulette Dougnac-Quintana is a Chilean journalist, MSc in Corporate Communications and PhD in Education. She has experience working on communications and public engagement at the University of Chile. She did her PhD at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and her research topic was a process of reappraisal of public engagement at a Chilean public university. She has worked as an academic at the University of Santiago and the University of Chile.
Her research focuses on university community engagement and institutional communications. She is co-founder of GEVEX, a study group formed by Chilean researchers on public engagement. She currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Local and Regional Development (IDER) of University of La Frontera, in the south of Chile, focused on the project “Platform of networks for Governance and Public Policies in La Araucanía”. She is also a lecturer at the Diploma on Public Engagement and University Extension, organized by the University of Santiago for the Chilean Network of State Universities.
