Mauricio García Ojeda is an academic at the Department of Social Sciences of University of La Frontera, Chile. He is MSc in Local and Regional Human Development (University of La Frontera) and PhD in Sociology (Autonomous University of Barcelona). He is a member of the Social Research Center (SUR) of University of La Frontera, and the Group of Analytical Sociology and Institutional Design (GSADI) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research topic is governance and territorial development, specifically, governance processes in public policies implemented with a territorial approach; community governance of local natural common assets; multi-scale, multi-level and polycentric governance of socio-ecological systems; institutional analysis; and territorial distributive conflicts.
