Ben Trager completed his Master of Art in General Education and Loyola Marymount University and completed his Doctor of Education in Urban Education Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ben is currently the interim Director of Community Engagement and Experiential Learning at UW-Milwaukee. Ben is interested in internships, service-learning, and is currently exploring ways to integrate a multitude of high-impact practices into UW-Milwaukee's undergraduate experience. At the Center for Student Experience and Talent's Community Engagement and Experiential Learning office, Ben oversees the campus's service-learning portfolio of over 1,500 students each semester in over 60 courses and supports the internship programs that provide community-based work opportunities for students. Ben's research interests include hybridized high-impact practices, community-university partnerships, and collaborative research methods. Ben's formal education, professional experiences, and research equip Ben with unique multi-faceted insight into the nuances of community-university partnership and equity-minded high-impact practices.
