Leah Dunn is an associate professor at Xavier University and occupational therapist. Discovering her passion for educating the next generation of occupational therapy practitioners, Leah shifted her career focus from clinical practice to teaching. Having mentored pre-occupational therapy students in an immersive program in Guatemala, she recognized the need for further research on teaching culturally responsive care to her students. As a result, she continues to develop international clinical experiences for occupational therapy graduate students, studying their development of cultural competence. Her other research interests include clinical education, community engagement, metacognition, and creativity. She may be reached at DunnL3@xavier.edu.
