Diane Ceo-DiFrancesco is Professor of Spanish and World Language Pedagogy at Xavier University. Diane has also served as Interim Associate Provost, Faculty Director of the Eigel Center for Community Engaged Learning and Faculty Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence. Diane is dedicated to creating transformative service learning and immersion experiences through study abroad and domestic community engagement. She teaches courses in Spanish language, linguistics and culture, and World Language Pedagogy, and integrates community-engaged learning, virtual exchange and collaborative online international learning (COIL) into the courses that she teaches. An international presenter and COIL trainer, her research interests include second language acquisition, intercultural communicative competence, community engaged teaching and learning, global citizenship, telecollaborative pedagogy and immersion.
