Dr. Kiesha Warren-Gordon is currently a Professor of Criminal Justice/Criminology and the director of the African American studies program. She also an affiliate faculty member in the Gender and Women’s Studies program and teach a variety of courses in Criminal Justice at Ball State University.
Her work includes serving as Indiana Campus Compact Senior Faculty fellow, where she mentored faculty across the state of Indiana as they participate in community engagement and service-learning projects within their communities. Her community engagement work has also been supported financially: to date she has received over $85,000 in grants to support my community engagement endeavors locally and internationally. One of her most recent grant-funded projects is titled: “Confronting Racism in Indiana.” It consists of a multi-disciplinary team of Muncie community members, Ball State faculty, and business professionals. The team has adopted a community-based participatory action research and decolonizing approach.
