Dr. Lauren E. Burrow is a professor of education studies at Stephen F. Austin State University. As a MotherScholar to three adolescents, she focuses her scholarly, teaching, and service efforts on issues of social injustice in educational settings. She is the co-founder and co-instructor of a Service-Learning teacher prep program, Community Responsiveness and Engaged Advocacy in Teacher Education (C.R.E.A.T.E.). She currently serves as a co-PI on "Reaching All Communities to Establish Success in Language Learning," a multi-year US Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition grant that seeks to connect colleges, communities, and schools for EL/MLL biliteracy improvements while uplifting culture.
