Mari Rice is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Boise State University. She also coordinates internships and experiential learning for the School of Public Service at BSU. Mari is a lifelong educator, and has worked in a range of educational settings over the past 24 years. She received her Ed.D at Boise State University with an emphasis in service-learning, an M.S. in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in environmental education from the University of Montana, and a B.A. from the University of Oregon. She has taught at Boise State for the past ten years and has incorporated service learning throughout. Prior to this, she served in a range of positions that included coordinator for TRIO Upward Bound in Colorado, leading outdoor and environmental education courses throughout the US and abroad, and classroom teaching.
