Emily Avery-Miller is Associate Teaching Professor in the English Department at Northeastern University, where she teaches first-year writing and interdisciplinary advanced writing courses. She has taught community-engaged and service-learning writing courses for eight years and has partnered with organizations that serve immigrants and young people.
