Christina Santana, PhD, is an Associate Professor English at Worcester State University and a Lecturer at University of Massachusetts Amherst. She also served as a Writing Center Director and as an Associate Director of Community Learning in a Center for Community Engagement. Her teaching is focused on professional capacity-building, enabling writing students to respond a peer or community needs while developing their own writerly identities. Christina's scholarship has explored innovative and collaborative structures and frameworks in several contexts, including connecting composition mega courses, facilitating the work of writing groups/teams across difference, networking university writing centers and organizations within a city, advancing anti-racist community engagement in and around higher education, and soon, promoting civic learning through a lens of racial equity.
