Dr. Jen Azordegan is Manager for Community-Engaged Learning at Australian Catholic University (ACU). Situated in ACU’s centralised community engagement office, she leads a multi-campus team dedicated to supporting community-engaged across all undergraduate degrees. Jen joined ACU in 2019 with over a decade of experience in teaching, research and project roles in Australian higher education, primarily in the area of teacher education and preparing teachers for diverse classrooms. She previously served as an education policy researcher and advisor to state governments in the U.S.; has a master’s degree in urban education; and initially trained as a primary school teacher. Her PhD research was a community-engaged, sociological exploration of the connections between an Australian primary school and parents from a refugee background.
